Common Questions

FAQ

How far in advance do I need to book?
We recommend reaching out at least 2–3 weeks in advance for standard bookings. For major productions with specific requirements, 4–6 weeks gives us time to find the ideal match and coordinate all logistics.
What insurance do I need as a production?
A standard production liability policy of at least $1M per occurrence is required on all bookings. The property owner must be named as an additional insured. We can connect you with production insurance providers if needed.
Can I bring a full crew and equipment trucks?
Most of our properties accommodate medium to large crews. Crew size, vehicle access, and equipment requirements are confirmed during the scout process. Each listing notes whether crew parking and vehicle access are available on-site.
Are permits required to film in Arizona?
Permit requirements vary by city and property type. Many private properties do not require city permits. Properties in our "Permit Friendly" category have pre-established permit pathways. We guide every production through any permit requirements specific to their booking.
How much can I earn as a property owner?
Daily rates on our platform range from $500 for smaller or outdoor spaces to $10,000+ for large luxury estates. Most properties earn between $1,500 and $5,000 per shoot day. You set your rate — we advise on competitive pricing based on comparable properties.
What is the platform fee?
At Home Locations charges a 15% platform fee to property owners on completed bookings. There is no listing fee and no upfront cost to get on the platform. Productions pay a 10% booking service fee on top of the daily rate.
What happens if a production damages my property?
Every production's certificate of insurance covers property damage. Additionally, our location agreements include damage clauses that hold productions accountable. A property walk-through is conducted before and after every shoot to document condition.
Do you work with student films or small budgets?
Yes. Some of our property owners are open to student and independent productions at reduced rates, particularly for desert and outdoor locations. Filter by budget or reach out directly — we do our best to match every production with the right space.
